From Craig Watt, GPSA President (last day in office is May 12, 2008):

I'd like to thank the many involved graduate students who participated in the GPSA's activities this year. Additionally I'd like to congratulate Parul, the Vice President-elect, and the winners of the tie-breaker election that is scheduled to occur in the fall, no later than September 21st.

GPSA has a tough job, to somehow get graduate students, who are already strapped for time, to oversee a volunteer organization to benefit all graduate students at UI. I appreciated the opportunities presented this year by the GPSA to me, and the challenges that came with it. To do less, and to do it well is my recommendation for the future representatives as they continue to rebuild the GPSA.

Best of luck to all of us,
Craig

The GPSA (Graduate and Professional Student Association) represents graduate and professional (but not law) students at the University of Idaho. Undergraduate students are represented by the ASUI and law students are represented by the SBA. The GPSA body is composed of an executive branch; a judicial branch; and a legislative branch composed of senators that represent academic departments with graduate programs.

GPSA Senate meetings are typically every other Tuesday evening from 6:30 - 7:30pm (occasionally they may run until 8pm) and are located in the Gold room on the second floor of the SUB. Meetings for the Spring 2008 academic semester will be held at 6:30 pm on: January 15 and 29, February 12 and 26, March 18, April 1 and 15 and 29, and May 6.
